In the courtyard of a standard Berlin building block, a new urban apartment building is erected with a sunny balcony for every unit. The building volume is shaped to catch most of the light available in the yard and the 18 apartments provide comfortable and varied housing for the diverse population of Berlin-Kreuzberg.
